| There is no official dog run in Fort Greene, but dog owners in the area are well organized and working hard to make the 30-acre historic Fort Greene Park as dog-friendly as Prospect Park. For now, dogs may be off leash before 9 am and after 9 pm. If you live in the area, join Fort Greene Park Users and Pets Society (P.U.P.S.). Aside from improving communication between park officials and dog owners, PUPS hosts an annual hound Halloween costume contest, organizes park clean-up days, publishes a calendar and has its own website at www.fortgreenepups.org.
