| Sometimes you want to get away without going away––and the SoHo Grand is one of New York City's most dog-friendly hotels. Plus there’s something about staying in SoHo that makes you feel like you’re visiting another city. |

| Zero. It's downtown. |
| By cab, car, subway or foot. It's on West Broadway
just north of Canal Street. Closest subway stop is Canal on the 1
or 9 lines.

| A place that takes their needs seriously. The canine
room service menu includes Purina Dog Chow, vitamin supplements, dog
toothpaste, and an assortment of Hartz toys (the hotel is owned by
Hartz Mountain Industries, which makes products for dogs). Of the
hotel's 369 rooms, 117 allow dogs.

| An excuse for never leaving your bed. Rooms are well-stocked with snacks from Dean & Deluca and Citarella, there’s a gym in the hotel, room service delivers 24 hours a day, and the hotel will arrange for a dog-walker. If you need to leave your dog alone, doggie day-care is available too. |
| The SoHo Grand rents kennels ($10 a day) and will arrange veterinary house calls. |
| Nothing. We're pretty sure room service can bring you anything you need. |
| Don't let your dog bother other guests. |
| Rooms start at around $350, but that's "rack rate," so try negotiating. There's no additional charge for dogs. |
